Please note: although I have extensive experience in paediatric health as a former paediatric pharmacist, I do not see paediatric patients as I haven't been trained in paediatric Ayurvedic medicine.

Ayurveda is an ancient healing modality originating in India more than 5000 years ago. its main aim is to bring the body back into balance using a combination of diet modifications, lifestyle changes and herbal medicine. Consultations are tailored to individual needs so it is a bespoke healing therapy which is very different to conventional medicine where often one size fits all'
This would really depend on the condition and what is being treated, there maybe some cases where symptoms can improve quickly such as for some causes of acid reflux and some gastric gastric disorders, and some may take a bit longer such as for chronic conditions.
I will work with you and try and work around some of the tastes of the herbs, some can be taken in liquid or tablet form and some can be added to capsules. Generally speaking most people tend to get used to the taste of the herbs and some people actually love them!
Ayurveda works in a holistic approach so changing your diet and lifestyle (if necessary) will be an important part of your treatment plan. Of course some people may not need modifications and may only need herbs or small tweaks. There is a famous Ayurvedic proverb which states ' without proper diet, medicine is of no use and with proper diet medicine is of no need.'
